Lobbyist Registration Tutorial Videos
Step-by-step tutorial videos are now available to assist lobbyists in the creation and management of profiles and registrations on the Ontario lobbyist registry system. See the tutorial videos here
Lobbyists completing the Lobbying Activity section of the registration form are required to submit a complete description of lobbying activities. Lobbyists are encouraged to consult the Lobbying Activity page for guidance on submitting clear and concise statements that allow the public to easily identify and understand lobbying goals.
Amendments to the Act
Amendments to the Lobbyists Registration Act, 1998, came into force on July 1, 2016, bringing significant changes to Ontario’s lobbyist registry system, including new questions on registration forms, a single registration form for entire for-profit companies, a lower threshold for registration for in-house lobbyists and new investigative and enforcement powers for the Integrity Commissioner as Lobbyists Registrar.
